LINE OF MORE THAN 300 VETAL EXTRACTES WITH PRECIOUS ACTIVES OBTAINED THROUGH Ship Technology
In order to produce superior quality cosmetic raw materials, our company has embarked on a journey to enhance the value of wild or cultivated plant species found in the Mediterranean region, particularly in the Calabrian territory, making the best use of their active principles.
With the aim of obtaining vegetal extracts with a high content of active principles, the plant matrices are harvested at their peak balsamic time and dried within a few hours of harvesting using a cold drying technology that prevents the alteration of heat-sensitive active principles.
For the production of extracts, the dried plant matrices are extracted using the Naviglio Extractor, an innovative solid-liquid extraction technology that allows the rapid extraction of extractable substances from solid matrices. The process takes place at room or sub-room temperature, utilizing an increase in pressure of the extracting liquid on the solid matrix, thus avoiding the alteration of heat-sensitive substances.
Currently, Macrofarm possesses a wide variety of certified BIO extracts, obtained using different extractive blends and stabilized with various preservative systems.
Macrofarm also offers the possibility to characterize the extracts, providing customers who request it with a series of tests to support the specific efficacy of the raw material. In addition to the listed references, we develop tailor-made extracts upon request, starting from dedicated plant matrices.
