We received the Recti Eques 2024 award!
Important recognition for Macrofarm srl for Innovation in the Biotechnology field.
On 18 April 2024, in the historic “Sala della Protomoteca del Campidoglio” in Rome, Macrofarm srl spin off of the University of Calabria was awarded the “Recti Eques Award – Italian Paladins of Health”. The award, which recognizes the company’s significant contributions in the field of research and innovation in the biotechnology sector, was collected by Prof. Francesco Puoci of the Department of Pharmacy, Health and Nutrition Sciences, representing all the founding members: Prof. Vincenzo Pezzi, Dr. Ortensia Ilaria Parisi, Dr. Rocco Malivindi, and Dr. Fabio Amone.
The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Health and presented by the journalist Alda D’Eusanio, celebrated Italian excellence in the field of medical research and public health, rewarding individuals, institutions and companies that stood out for their commitment. Among the awarded are leading figures in the treatment of rare diseases, genetic disorders and the prevention of rejection.
During the ceremony, Prof. Puoci spoke by explaining Macrofarm’s growth path in the field of research and development of innovative solutions for health, which has at the same time determined its affirmation as an innovative company in the pharmaceutical fine chemicals market, always managing to renew and expand, over the years, its offering of products and services.
Prof. Puoci then underlined how this experience was possible thanks to the creation of an innovation ecosystem stimulated by the constant action of the University of Calabria and its researchers. This work is laying the foundations for the economic development of Calabria in a strategic sector such as technological innovation.
The “Recti Eques Award” represents an important recognition of the work carried out by Macrofarm, the only company in Calabria to be awarded in almost 10 years of activity. This year’s event, as well as the details of the awarded projects, will be included in the next publication of “Paladini Italiani della Salute”, edited by the Rde publishing house.
